LXE Marathon
Accurate mobile data for first responders can make the difference between life and death. It can also help ease the nerves of individuals affected by an incident.
Take the case of the car accident at a busy intersection. The police, fire, and EMT teams are directed to the scene with the cell- assisted GPS on their vehicle-docked Marathon Field Computers. At the scene, the Marathon is undocked to issue temporary credentials with a USB-attached mobile printer, which are later scanned using the Marathon’s bolt-on 2D imager. Police officers on the scene use the Marathon’s biometric mouse to fingerprint the drivers, while the unit’s Gobi WWAN radio checks those prints against an internal database of criminal and missing persons records. The investigation is further aided by the Marathon’s integrated 2MP camera that takes pictures of the scene, as its imager is used to scan drivers’ licenses and vehicle VIN numbers. And if the computer is ever dropped or caught in a water spray, its rugged IP-65 rated design protects it from damage.
The Marathon serves those who serve others.
